Caroline Marie McGowan

Mrs. Caroline Marie McGowan was born May 22, 1953, to Ardell Sutton and Mary Cathrine Sims, both from Monticello, Mississippi. She was an active member of Quin Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Lonnie Lenoir Sr. She was also active at Springhill MB Church under the leadership of Bishop DeSean Toler.

She loved to shop off QVC, which was more looking than shopping, playing crossword puzzles, and going out to eat. She had worked numerous jobs during her life, to include the Lawrence County Nursing Home, Bob's Restaurant, Sanderson Farms, and Sonic, to name a few.

Caroline met and married Clayton McGowan in 1975, until he transitioned in 2013. She never remarried. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Charles Sims (Silver Creek, MS) and Mark Sims (Atlanta, GA) and two daughters, Patience McGowan (Clarksville, TN) and Hope McGowan (Monticello, MS), a host of aunts, uncles, grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
