Mattie Mae Carson

Mrs. Mattie Mae Carson was born August 10, 1927. The daughter of the late Eddie Carson Sr. and Dollia Do'Lee Brumfield Carson.

She departed this life Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Walthall County Hospital. She was a homemaker and devoted to her children.

Mrs. Mattie was a caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Carson Sr., 1 Son R.G. Carson, 1 Brother Eddie Carson Jr., 2 Sisters Mary Lee Carson Powell and Mrs. Margie Lee Holmes, 1 Daughter in-law Pearline Carson, and 1 Son in-law Bobby Davis.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, 3 Daughters, Lithia Carson of Tylertown, MS, Dollie Mae Carson of Biloxi, MS, and Annie Jean Davis of Franklinton, LA. 3 Sons, Major Carson, Samuel Carson of Tylertown, MS and Donald Ray Carson of Clifton, LA. 1 Brother in-law Edgar "Boy" Holmes. 13 grand children, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.


Funeral services will be held 11AM on Saturday (10/29/11) at Antioch MB Church with burial at Sweet Home COCH Cemetery in Franklinton, LA.The repast will be held at Antioch MB Church. Visitation will be Friday (10/28/11) 11AM to 6 PM at Washington Funeral Home.
